Blegh

1. I'm thankful for the days that I'm not sick. So very, very thankful for those days.

Scooby Doo

1. Today I was walking my dogs, feeling extremely ungrateful for my little beagle who refuses to go potty sometimes, and I took a deep breath and let myself take in my surroundings. What I saw when I threw back my head and said, "Aaaargh!" was a beautiful blue sky, wonderful autumn weather, and a great big tree. I'm thankful for the tree. Okay... eloquent... I'm thankful for the feeling of serenity that comes over you sometimes when you need it most. Peace.
2. I'm thankful for my husband's laugh. No matter what mood I'm in, his laughter makes me smile and reminds me that the world is awesome.
3. I'm thankful to be an American. All of us at times get frustrated with politicians and big business, etc. but it would do us good to think of some of the things we take for granted. Like the fact that with free speech we are allowed to talk about our frustrations with politicians and big businesses.
4. Peanut butter M&M's, yum!
5. I'm thankful for the way we grew up. I used to wish that we were rich and that I could have everything I wanted. Now that I'm all grown up (lol) I appreciate that we didn't have a lot of extra money because I think we would all be very different people if money were the center of our lives instead of family. I place a lot of value on hard work and love that feeling of satisfaction and pride you get from accomplishing something. How proud would you be of your new car if you hadn't worked so hard to buy it? How proud would you be of your garden if you hired gardners to be your green thumb instead of working at it with trial and error, blood, sweat, and tears?

Thankful for my Thankful for my Thankful for my Thankfuls

1. I'm thankful for my thankfuls. I find that sometimes I'm really reaching when I'm trying to think up thankfuls for the day and I figure that that's gotta be the best time to do it. A lot of times my frustrations come to mind a lot easier than things that I am thankful for, and generally speaking I can turn a frustration into a thankful. That must be the whole point!
2. I'm thankful for my brother Mike who argues with me all the time. Not argue like 'I'm so mad at you,' but theoretical conversations in which we argue something point by point accepting or disagreeing with their point of view.
3. I'm thankful for Christmas! I wish it were Christmas all year round. Something about the time of year, starting in November and continuing until January gets me giddy. Anyone for caroling? Who cares that it's only September!
4. I'm thankful that circumstances this last few years has allowed our family to have several get-togethers. I LOVE seeing everyone and so so so appreciate the travel, time, and money that people have spent to visit.
5. I'm thankful that my sister Kristin has been blessed with creative and resourceful ideas coming 2nd nature to her. She has such great ideas and practical uses for things you wouldn't normally think about and she always shares those brilliant nuggets with us.

Give Me Five!

1. I'm thankful for the way my husband looks at me when he tells me that he loves me.
2. I'm thankful for all the help we got with planning and decorating for our wedding, before, during, and after.
3. I'm thankful that between all of my family that attended our wedding, I have so many pictures and video clips.
4. I'm thankful that the apartment that we're in provides a washer and dryer.
5. I'm thankful that my dogs have been healthy and have almost never needed to see a vet.
